Deoxycholic acid

Deoxycholic acid
What is Deoxycholic acid?
Deoxycholic acid is a chemical compound with CAS number 83-44-3 and molecular formula C24H40O4. It is used in various industrial and research applications.
Applications
Deoxycholic acid has been used in a study to assess how physiological concentrations of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) vs. deoxycholic acid (DCA) affect barrier function in mouse intestinal tissue. 1 It has also been used in a study to characterize bile formation in a mouse model with hepatic disruption of the cytochrome p450 (CYP) oxidoreductase gene. 2
