URB597 has been used as a control to inhibit fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) activity in mice. This study reported that URB597 can significantly potentiate anandamide-induced hypothermia¹. Furthermore, studies using URB597 have reported that it can rescue elevated morbidity and mortality rates in neural stem and progenitor cell-ablated adult mice with ischaemic stroke and epilepsy².
