Titanium(IV) isopropoxide

Titanium(IV) isopropoxide
What is Titanium(IV) isopropoxide?
Titanium(IV) isopropoxide is a chemical compound with CAS number 546-68-9 and molecular formula Ti[OCH(CH3)2]4. It is used in various industrial and research applications.
Applications
Novel metal oxide/phosphonate hybrids were formed from titanium(IV) isopropoxide in a two-step sol-gel process.1 Starting material for barium-strontium-titanate thin films.2,3 Used to make porous titanosilicates, potential ion-exchange materials for cleanup of radioactive wastes.4 Applied in the formation of a heterosupermolecule consisting of a TiO2 nanocrystallite-viologen electron acceptor complex whose light-induced electron transfer has been demonstrated.5
